Contract: Normally two-year, renewable. The work year
is approximately 185 days and runs from September to late June.
Salary: Competitive salary paid in Euros (deductions
according to Spanish law roughly 24-28% of gross pay which,
subject to change).
Air fare to Madrid (return on completion of contract)
Relocation expenses (reasonable costs, as may be required, for securing certificates, documents, and travel in connection with passport and work permit application) are remibursed
Excess baggage allowance (half intended for trip to Spain, half for return trip upon successful conclusion of contract; may be taken all at once either at beginning or end of employment)
Settling-in allowance, subject to Spanish tax law
Medical coverage, retirement benefits, sick leave, long-term disability insurance, and unemployment insurance through Spanish Security system for full-time employees
Professional development allowance after year 1 and retirement program after year 2
Housing allowance, subject to Spanish tax law. Discontinued after year 5.
Life insurance for full-time employees, equal to two years base salary
Free lunch during normal school days when students are in attendance

Stipend:
as established for the current academic calendar year by the Spanish private education sector’s
collective bargaining agreement (“Convenio”).
Working hours: 8:45 am - 4:45 pm. Assistance with or
teaching of extra-curricular activities expected.
Vacations: According to Spanish Ministry of Education
calendar. The calendar provides for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and
Easter holidays. The academic year generally runs from September
1 through late June.

Spanish legislation provides for the hiring of non-Spanish interns at accredited foreign schools under the following conditions:
degree must be obtained during the four years immediately preceding contract date
interns are granted work permits in Spain for one year
interns may be granted a work permit for an additional year
interns are not offered employment for a third year
non-Spanish interns, like all foreigners, must comply with all procedures established by the Spanish authorities for obtaining a Residence Authorization and card, by providing the employer with the required documentation and by personally collecting the Residence Visa at the appropriate Spanish Consulate General in their country of origin or legal residence at the appointed time
the Spanish authorities reserve the right to grant or deny applications for residence authorizations, visas, work permits, and/or renewals
